NASA has documented several types of red-hued celestial and atmospheric objects. In Earth’s atmosphere, red sprites, a type of transient luminous event (TLE), are also observed during thunderstorms. Additionally, NASA has observed the “Red Ribbon” nebula, a supernova remnant, and captured images of the Red Rectangle nebula. These include the “little red dots” (LRDs) observed by the James Webb Space Telescope in the early universe, which are thought to be galaxies containing black holes.
